Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
We were recently approached by the CFO of a multinational broadcasting business who was looking for a commercially focussed Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.
The role required the candidate to initially complete a maternity cover position in Milan, and move to their London headquarters. After completing a search of the Marks Sattin extensive network, specifically qualified Accountants with previous media & entertainment experience, we were able to secure a shortlist of candidates who undertook a 3 stage interview process culminating in an offer an acceptance. We successfully managed the process in four weeks.
Senior Finance Analyst
We were approached by this client who needed a Senior Finance Analyst to work out of their Central London internet division. Through competitor market mapping and candidate referrals we were able to send through a shortlist of 5 candidates within 24 hours.
All short listed candidates secured a first stage interview with three going on to final stage a week later. We were able to successfully negotiate an offer on behalf of the candidate and they accepted. The successful applicant has since gone on to be promoted internally.
Internal Auditor (Travel & Leisure)
This large FTSE business needed a strong newly qualified Accountant to join the business in an internal audit capacity which involved 75% travel to global locations. A challenging brief as it was important to the client that the successful candidate met the skill set brief, was commercially aware, confident and effectively break down any barriers that had been built up between departments.
We eventually secured an interview for an outstanding candidate who travelled often with their current role, which made it challenging to secure a mutually convenient for both parties. However, our strong client/ client relationship meant that we were able to keep both client and candidate committed to the process and successfully fill the role.
Group Financial Controller
As a result of a market mapping exercise for CFO assignment in Spain, we made contact with a company in Switzerland (listed on the TSX in Canada) who were looking for a Group Financial Controller.
Through our candidate network we were actively working with a Group Financial Controller who wanted to make the move from the UK to Switzerland. Both candidate and client were a very suitable match especially as the candidate had listed plc experience within a UK FTSE listed company. We worked with both parties and successfully secured interviews which let to the eventual placement.
Qualified Temporary Assignment
This leading FTSE 100 Home Retail outfit was in the process of launching numerous strategic projects to investigate corporate development opportunities into new markets and therefore required someone to manage the process from inception to conclusion.
The client had already been working with other agencies that had been unable to source a suitable candidate. Marks Sattin was able to provide the client with a shortlist of 3 relevant candidates. We were successfully able to secure a placement within 10 days. We have since been working on other contract roles a sole agency basis and 2 further senior permanent roles.

Finance Manager (rising force in the Media Industry)
This client made contact initially to seek advice regarding the best method of recruiting a new Finance Manager after finding Marks Sattin on Google. It was their first appointment within finance and therefore a critical hire. Within a few hours of the phone call we were able to send through a shortlist of five candidates for first stage interviews. Secured two candidates for final stage interviews, and successfully made a placement. The whole process took two weeks and was helped by our specialist knowledge of the media market to ensure that both client and candidate were happy.
Finance Analyst (Finalist) (International Technology Services Company)
Due to significant growth our client an international Hi-Tec business was looking to recruit a Finance Analyst on a permanent basis to start immediately. Through our extensive network we were able to provide the client with three outstanding candidates, all of which had been pre-interviewed by us and 360 background checks conducted. Interviews were arranged within the same week and we were able to successfully place an experienced Finance Analyst within a month. We received excellent feedback from our client contact who has since referred us to a colleague needing assistance recruiting a Financial Controller position.
Financial Analyst (Multinational Pharmaceutical Company)
Due to expansion throughout Europe and a number of new projects our client required a Financial Analyst to join their Commercial FP&A team. Using our current database and sourcing a number excellent candidates from our referral network we sourced 5 1st Class options who were all vetted, screened and submitted to the client. Following this the candidates swiftly went through the process, two secured a final stage interview and with one offered and appointed to the position. We have received excellent reports from both client and candidate and have subsequently been recommended to recruit further roles within finance.

Management Accountant (Media & PR Industry)
As a result of a recent merger between our client and another international company, they needed an experienced temporary Management Accountant to fill the gap created by a restructure. Due to the quick turnaround needed, we were able to bring the suitable candidates in to interview within a matter of days and had the position filled successfully within a week. The candidate has received glowing reports from our client, so much so they have now offered them a contract to become a permanent member of staff.
Commercial Finance Assistant (Television Company)
Due to an internal promotion, my client, a well known television company required a Commercial Finance Assistant to join their business on a temporary to permanent basis. They were looking to get the person on board ASAP and were looking for the person to be able to demonstrate not only the correct skill set but also the right personality fit for the department. Thanks to the recruiter-client relationship built over time and our extensive pool or temporary candidates, a strong shortlist was submitted and the successful candidate started well within the required timeframe.
