Marks Sattin are working exclusively with a instantly recognisable brand based in West Yorkshire who due to organic growth require an ACA Qualified accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for a 1st move into industry & would provide a clear & defined path within 2 years to Financial Controller.

Responsibilities within the Role:

To manage the day-to-day aspects of the Financial Accounts team - including responsibility for period-end, budget and forecast reporting packs and leading the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger teams (with an emphasis on proactive working capital management).

• Production of accurate and timely period-end, year-end, forecast and budget submission packs
• Preparation of VAT submission including HMRC ESL and Intrastat
• Responsible for producing high quality, meaningful and timely Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Responsibility for Intercompany balances and reconciliations (with Purchase Ledger and Credit Control)

In order to be considered for the role you must be:

• ACA Qualified
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Self-motivated and pro-active
