Start your job searchManufacturing Accountant required for a leading international organisation with the view of becoming the Head of Site Finance in the next couple of years. As part of a small Supply Finance team, the Supply Accountant reports into the Supply Controller and is responsible for providing support to the Site Leadership and Management teams in the delivery of the key financial requirements to drive the performance of the site.
In addition to being the Finance representative in the Site Operational team, the Supply Accountant supports the Finance team on the Derby site with responsibility for the factory performance, including financial plan and forecasts, the month end process, variance analysis and financial reviews.
This will include input and delivery of financial management information and reporting required from a UK Finance function perspective and a DAS Cluster perspective as well as involvement in Supply projects that require financial input and insights, advice and direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execution of monthly margin delivery aligned with commercial team and communicated to CHQ
Construction of the Factory Operating Statement, reflecting the production through put of the factory
Preparation and communication of the monthly commentary on volumes, manufacturing & material variance, fixed costs and site margin
Communication of financial results to the Operational Leadership team, in order to promote financial awareness and drive towards meeting the financial commitments of the site
Carry out monthly Balance Sheet reviews, including fixed assets, stock, accruals and prepayments to ensure that full controls are being applied and Corporate policies are being adhered to
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS\EXPERIENCE
FMCG or Manufacturing Finance experience.
A Qualified Accountant (preferably CIMA; possibly ACCA) possessing 1-5 years post-qualification experience in an FMCG or similarly high volume manufacturing organisation
Experience\working knowledge of key manufacturing topics: Material and Manufacturing Variances, Fixed Costs reviews etc, labour analysis
Knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process
