My client is looking for a temporary Accounts Assistant to support their Finance function on the outskirts of Leeds. The role will require an all round accounts assistant to support initially on a temporary basis, with the view for this to go permanent after an initial trial period for the right candidate.

My client is a property developer based in Leeds, their unique approach to the property development market being their eco friendly and environmental conscience approach. Within the company are varies sub companies (from service to property management) highlighting the necessity for a good standalone Bookkeeper who can adapt their style to the varied requirements of all the businesses.

The role will include the following duties:

- Full ledger responsibilities (Sales and Purchase Ledger)

- Bank reconciliation

- Credit control and chasing debt

- Banking

- Managing petty cash

- The ability to work to trial balance (beneficial, training provided should you not have the full experience)

- Support to the two Qualified accountants on adhoc projects

- Adhoc accounts administration

The ideal candidate will:

- Be immediately available

- Have previous exposure to a standalone ledger role (both sales and purchase ledger)

- Have good attention to detail

- Take instruction well

- Be enthusiastic 'can do' attitude

- Be a team player

- Be tactful and diplomatic

- Have the ability to define and follow strict process

- Be diligent and well organised (and have the forsight to prioritise when required)

- Be flexible with working hours

- Have a good knowledge of MS Word and Excel
