Do you have the skill set required to manage a team in Tax? Have you proven your technical and leadership abilities? Are you ready to move into a top 20 firm? If you are, we are looking for you.

Marks Sattin are partnering with a global accountancy firm, who are looking for a Corporate Tax Manager to join their Birmingham office. You'll be part of an office that cover all forms of finance, and lead a team of dedicated tax specialists. Your remit would cover a broad range of companies, from owner managed businesses to multinational groups. The role involves large amounts of client exposure, so excellent interpersonal skills are a must.

If successful, your key responsibilities will include;

  • Undertaking consultancy work.
  • Managing a small portfolio of compliance cases, and a large portfolio of advisory cases.
  • Providing top quality client service.
  • Preparation of R&D claims.
  • Liaising with Partners.
  • Management of your own team, including training and employee appraisals.
  • Active involvement in business development

Key competencies would include;

  • Ability to work in a team whilst supporting others.
  • Ability to deliver excellent client service.
  • Proven technical ability.
  • Excellent communication abilities - both verbal and written.
  • Ability to solve problems in a pragmatic and logical way.
  • Ability to generate new business in a highly competitive environment.
