Finance Manager required for a leading FMCG organisation based in central Sheffield. A strong financial accounting background is required from either practice or industry. Objectives:

  • Ensure the highest quality of accounting records
  • Ensure adherence to group accounting policies and regulatory standards, both UKGAAP and IFRS
  • Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of the annual statutory accounts and the monthly reporting for all UK Legal Entities.
  • Ownership of continuous improvement and change projects in Group Finance.

Key Functions:

  • Maintaining the general ledger accounts for the UK entities in line with UKGAAP and IFRS
  • Preparation of quarterly management and annual audited UKGAAP consolidated accounts
  • Producing the monthly reporting accurately, to the highest quality and within strict deadlines
  • Ensure reporting compliance with the organisations accounting policies
  • Engage with both internal and external auditors to ensure quarterly reviews, statutory audits and ad hoc process reviews are completed with satisfactory outcomes and to deadlines
  • Managing continuous improvement and change projects within the Finance function

Skills and Abilities

  • ACA / ACCA qualified
  • 3 years+ work experience in accounting, with audit experience
  • Experience of supervising members of staff and workloads to tight deadlines
  • Excellent technical skills, deep knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Strong team player, able to work under pressure alongside various management levels
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly analytical, proven problem solving abilities and focussed on continuous improvement
  • Ability to prioritise project and routine work and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible and enthusiastic
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, accounting packages, etc
