A large and growing, London based insurance underwriter is looking for a Financial Controller to oversee a wide remit of responsibility across the Finance department.

The role will entail the sign off of financial management information and analysis for internal and external stakeholders, process change and group taxation in addition to a number of ad-hoc projects as the Finance Department.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversight and sign off of external financial reporting and monthly consolidations.
• Production of annual budget and reforecasting exercise liaising with internal stakeholders as necessary.
• Formulating controls and procedures to improve the effectiveness of the department, identifying, scoping and delivering finance led change projects.
• Review of the Group's VAT return ensuring to maintain a positive relationship with HMRC

Technical Expertise

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA)
• Experience of working in an insurance underwriter
