An exciting role within an SME business based in North-West London has arisen for a Financial Controller to lead the company's financial and management accounting, reporting and control activities across the group of companies and to ensure they are carried out efficiently and effectively. This is a new role and will be reporting to the Finance Director.$0
$0This is a rapidly expanding privately held organisation that has virtually quadrupled its turnover in the last 5 years and still with big plans in the pipeline. Once appointed you will work closely with the current Finance Director to ensure that you have an intricate understanding of the organisation, its vision and strategic operations for the future. It is imperative that you have a top to bottom understanding of the firm in order to have a full impact. This role involves day to day liaison with inter-company divisions such as marketing, sales and operation and you will be at the forefront of making sure they have a good understanding of how finance can help.$0
Duties/Responsibilities will include: $0
Produce timely and reliable management information reports on a monthly basis.$0
To perform month end for Accounts Payable, VAT, Fixed Assets and general ledger in the finance system.$0
Preparation of cash flow forecasts.$0
To prepare the monthly/quarterly VAT return.$0
Recommend changes that will improve the company's financial performance $0
Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the finances.$0
Using a financial control framework, including financial accountabilities to ensure full financial control. $0
Be the main point of contact to external auditors and provide all required information. $0
$0Skills Required$0
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA)$0
Experience of managing staff within the Accounts department.$0
An ability to work to tight deadlines$0
Excellent Excel modelling skills. $0
