To provide consistent, insightful and timely management information to the business (retrospective and forward looking through IBP). 

CONTENT OF POSITION:

  • Provide monthly reporting packs (BPR / QPR) on the region results including:
    • Full P&L to EBITDA by country and total region, month and YTD
    • Robust and consistent variance analysis for key P&L lines at region level
    • OWC performance summaries
    • Capital spend summary
  • Provide the monthly financial analysis and insight on the Retail, and Trade businesses' financial performance for inclusion in the Commercial Review slide packs and Monthly Management Report Pack
  • Provide the financial analysis for the retail and trade IBP Demand Review meetings on a monthly basis
  • Collate business insight to deliver the WD24 forecast and other business forecasts
  • Update on a monthly basis the business balance scorecard requirements
  • Build relationships with UK and Ireland finance team to enable the efficient coordination of reporting and forecasting activities
  • Submit monthly forecasts accurately on time and in full
  • Coordinate the region budget process including issuing timetables and specifying key deliverables
  • Assist with ad-hoc queries

COMPETENCES REQUIRED

Experience & Educational Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA) with strong commercial acumen
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Experience dealing with corporate requests and requirements

Skills:

  • Excellent Excel analytical skills
  • Excellent Powerpoint presentational skills
  • Knowledge of key systems (Cognos, SAP, Hyperion) preferred

Capabilities:

  • Understands accounting policies & principles
  • Can present financial data clearly & accurately to non-finance people
  • Recognised as being reliable and able to complete assignments on time in full
  • Solves own problems, taking ownership to find solutions quickly and completely

  • Relates to people and is confident to converse with people in all functions and all levels in the business
  • Strong analytical skills, including data manipulation in systems (Cognos, Excel, Access)
