We are delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with a highly regarded name in the Yorkshire market. My client, a fast-growing & highly profitable business are currently recruiting for a Finance Controller who will be on a fast-track programme to become FD within the next 12 months.

Reporting to the FD, you will also assume day to day responsibility for the finance function:

• Ensuring best-in-class financial controls and governance are monitored and in place throughout the group
• Preparation of group consolidated management accounts
• Management of the year-end audit process and statutory accounts preparation for each group company
• Tax matters including VAT, and Corporation Tax (via the group's tax advisers).
• Cash-flow forecasting and working capital management
• Continuously improve and review financial processes and systems including leading the implementation of a new accounting system in H2 2017.
• Assisting the FP&A Manager in consolidated budgeting and forecasting - P&L and balance sheet/cashflow
• Balance sheet control including fixed assets, accruals & prepayments and working capital.
• Bank liaison and reporting including covenants
• Develop robust accounting procedures, processes and controls with a paramount emphasis placed on integrity of data.

The ideal candidate will be ACA Qualified having qualified from a Top 10 Firm with experience at Finance Controller level within industry. You will also have a mixture of FP&A & Financial Accounting experience at a senior level. You must have be able to demonstrate a track record of team development and ability to manage at all levels, be committed, commercially aware with good communication skills. The ability to meet tight deadlines and excellent influencing skills will also be key. You must also be able to demonstrate strong leadership ability and an excellent track record of success within a senior finance role in industry. Ideally you will have a good degree of creativity and be able to bring suggestions to the table on financial controls, revenue generating ideas & cost transformation
