Head of Finance

Managing a large team across several locations, this role requires a commercially savvy individual, who is adept in analytical thinking in order to help take the company forward. Working in a fast paced and dynamic environment, this role will need to ensure that the team are supporting the growth of the business and that the necessary controls and processes are in place. This includes expansion into new territories and the set-up and establishment of accounting services to support new operations. You will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting across the group, investment appraisals and partnering non-finance entities within the group.

The role has responsibility for the reporting and commercial finance teams and will work closely with them to develop the information that is produced and ensure that they are adding value to the business. Some of the work performed by the commercial finance team includes sales and margin analysis, analysis of the supply chain, new business opportunities, including expansion into new territories and analysis of the existing portfolio.

This is a very successful brand, with ambitious plans to grow over the coming years and the company is looking for strong candidates to develop the finance function. Preferably you will come from a Retail or Multi-site background. The successful candidate will need to have strong management skills with experience of managing large teams and have a strong commercial awareness. The position requires a qualified accountant who can demonstrate excellence in financial performance and be able to look across the entirety of the business to suggest improvements for the finance function and beyond.
