Marks Sattin are delighted to be working in partnership with a well known Insurance Group to appoint a Head of Strategy. This is a high-profile role within the Group with the ability to influence the long-term strategic plans of the business.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Lead in strategic analysis and strategy formulation of the Group, working with principally the Group Finance Director and Chief Executive
• Engage with the Committee of Management through preparing and facilitating the strategy seminars during the year
• Taking the lead on inputs and out puts for the strategy sessions
• As a Senior Management role, the postholder will sit on the Senior Leadership team and be the leadership voice for Strategy, taking a lead role to ensure that the strategic plan is delivered
• Lead strategic change and engagement across the Group
• Provide strategic direction to and engagement with the Group and all entities within the Group structure
• Owns the understanding and translation of complex market and business issues into coherent strategic analysis, development and formulation
• Development of extensive and appropriate networks, both internally and externally
• Develop a Stakeholder Engagement Plan designed to create and deliver strategic process and successful outcomes for the Group
• Bring consistency, coherence and granularity to the strategy for the Group in order to achieve 10 year vision
• Analyse and understand the internal and external environment
• Keep up-to-date with changes and developments within the healthcare and insurance marketplace
• Deliver well founded and grounded strategic analysis which informs the development and formulation of strategy

The successful candidate will have the following:-

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuous professional development in technical areas of expertise
• Strong financial/numerical literacy possibly including accountancy qualification
• Developing and delivering high level strategies
