Start your job searchA leading practice in Manchester has an exciting opportunity for an internal audit senior to join their quickly expanding team. The successful candidate will support Partners and Manager in further developing the Governance, Risk and Internal Control service line.
The role will principally involve the day to day client managements of a range of private sector clients. This will involve staffing planning, client planning, carrying out audit fieldwork, review of work, and review of draft reports and finalisation of reports.
Responsibilities include but are not limited too;
- Developing internal audit plans and strategies
- Providing advice to client management.
- Leading and supervising an audit team, allocating work to team members and ensuring the team complete in a timely manner.
- Undertaking internal audit reviews of complex, high profile or sensitive areas.
- Managing and controlling audit assignments from planning through to finalisation of reports in line with agreed timescales.
- Review the work of others and provide feedback and support throughout the fieldwork stage.
- Managing and/or participating in the programme of formal and on-the-job training/development of internal auditors/trainee internal auditors.
- Writing and reviewing reports for submission to Senior Manager and Partner for sign-off.
- Assisting in business development opportunities including preparation of tenders and (for outstanding individuals) attendance at pitches
- Act as a point of contact for both manager and client, ensuring both are kept fully informed of any issues arising and the progress of the audit.
The successful candidate for this position will have the relevant qualification of IIA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent. You will have excellent written and oral presentation skills, and have the ability to develop new initiatives and methodologies.
