My client, a leading a FMCG brand with a portfolio of leading names in their product portfolio are currently looking for a high calibre individual to join their internal audit team.

The role offers someone the ideal platform to be 'seen' in this highly visible role, with future possibilities to move into finance/operations/commercial areas of the business. Your primary responsibility is to provide assurance to management that internal controls are in place and are operating effectively, and to identify areas where processes and controls can be improved. Working alongside another Internal Auditor, you will plan and conduct audits as set out in the annual plan and perform any ad hoc projects as deemed necessary by management.

You will analyse results of audits and summarise significant findings and recommendations in a report reviewed by the Internal Audit Manager and ultimately presented to local and Head Office management. You will conduct follow-up audits to ensure that controls, policies and any recommendations agreed at the end of each audit are properly implemented. You will also identify, review and document internal control processes and systems in place within the business organisation.

The candidate should be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA), with experience of risk-based auditing processes and a good working knowledge of financial accounting standards. You should have good report writing and communication skills and be a good team player.
