Qualified Life Insurance Accountant - Senior Candidates wanted
A pan European Insurance company is looking to bring someone on board to help work on the Finance Transformation Programme as a 'BPR Accountant', ie a 'Business Process Reengineering accountant.' The successful candidate must be able to work with accountants, of differing experience, in line roles to understand what they currently do and guide and instruct them in how to improve what they do. It is imperative that you come from a life insurance background as you will need to possess the right product knowledge and have the background to be able to hit the ground running.
Duties among others will include:
-Transfer of investment assets process; Completion process; Investment half year and month end reporting; liaise with auditors.
-Technical review of statutory accounts; month end reporting; liaise with auditors.
-Preparation of entity statutory account FSA return and Group reporting;
-Liaise with auditors; writing up of Board papers;
-Review of accounting processes; research on IFRS of insurance contracts.
-Delivered monthly board reports for life and general insurance business units and a fund management business unit on both IFRS & EEV reporting basis
-Preparing consolidated Plans, Forecasts and monthly MI on IFRS, UKGAAP and EEV bases to ensure the provision of relevant, reliable, insightful and timely information for decision making.
The role is offering a very competitive daily rate - up to £600 per day. You must be a fully qualified accountant. Ideally CA.
