A fantastic opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join a Top Ten powerhouse in Reading. My client is seeking a character to join their well renowned global outsourcing team as an experienced Payroll Consultant.
The top 10 firm is a leading accountancy and business advisory firm focused on providing services to determined businesses within the UK and worldwide. They have over 3,500 talented people working for them and they generate close to £400m in UK revenues.
Outline of the role:
The persistent growth of this firm has produced the necessity for a stronger payroll team. The successful candidate to commence this role will be responsible to manage the day to day project delivery for high profile clients, liaising with the firms in-country teams and supply regional payroll co-ordination services to clients and third parties.
The role requires you to be the first point of contact when escalation occurs therefore it is expected to exhibit practical recognition of issues and be able to present and steer resolutions within the assigned projects.
Core responsibilities:
The responsibilities the successful candidate will be carrying out in the role.
- Report to the account director on agreed reporting requirements.
- Manage and ensure project governance is adhered to by all parties involved as agreed on each project.
- Lead portal team meetings, on job education and training.
- You will also be required to train payroll coordinators by knowledge sharing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and over sea offices.
- Review costs v budgets on projects and report to Account Director.
- Assist in bids and presentation during bid process.
- Run the bid process under Prince2 methodology, training is available.
- Review and sign off on central invoicing, raise invoices and agree with the Account Director.
- Review audit processes around client service regularly with view of continuous improvement.
Qualifications and experience:
The successful candidate must be industrious and display good attention to detail. Poses technical payroll knowledge, be efficient and deadline driven.
Also have excellent organisational, planning and management skills as the successful individual will be managing a team.
The client would prefer that the candidate has a Bachelors degree or a CIPP qualification but this is not mandatory.
