Our client is a large organisation based within Reading. They are a well established within their market and are looking to get someone with a depth of experience as a payroll manager to join them on an interim basis.

The main responsibilities of this role will include:

• Manage monthly end to end payroll processes for all UK employees
• Reconciliation of employee annual leave balances at year end
• Monthly reconciliation of company pension scheme
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly commission payments
• Prepare and review monthly draft payroll reports
• Maintain month end payroll reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly payroll journals
• Ensure all payrolls are committed and paid in line with company deadlines
• Complete all HMRC returns in line with statutory deadlines
• Preparation of ad hoc payroll reports as requested
• Monthly absence analysis

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable experience within a large organisation previously working within payroll having managed a team of 6.

You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching, with a focus on leading from the front.
