In this role, the Property Management Accountant will be responsible for providing high quality, timely and proactive financial information. This role provides an excellent entry point into a large company and subject to progress within the role provides a great deal of scope for career progression.

The role is fundamental to the preparation of the companies management accounts and covers all group companies.

The Property Management Accountant will have full responsibility for accounting for premises costs for over 300 trading and non trading properties in conjunction with the property department, including:

Ensuring accurate rents, rates, utilities, dilapidations and maintenance costs are reported on branch trading statements and in the management accounts

Correctly accounting for accruals, prepayments, onerous lease provisions, discounting and rent free periods as well as accounting for the deferred rates scheme

Forecasting and budgeting of rent and rates costs and income on a quarterly and annual basis

Forecasting property cashflow

Ownership of the property database
