A leading City based Investment Bank is looking for a RWA controller to join their Group Credit Risk team.

They are looking for someone with prior RWA experience either from a core Regulatory Reporting background, or from a credit risk background.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Engage with regulatory development programmes (e.g. Basel III, Pillar 3 changes) to ensure impacts on the BAU team are managed.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing processes and quality of analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure the monthly credit risk Pillar 1 reporting process for allocated divisions is completed on time and to agreed level of quality. Monitor the daily progress of allocated divisions throughout the monthly RWA and credit risk data production and adjustment cycle, providing guidance and escalating significant issues as required.
  • Review divisional RWA metrics by triangulating divisional movements analysis, FSA045, FSA004 and own knowledge of assigned divisions.
  • Support the resolution of issues that impact the accuracy and timely delivery of risk weighted asset and capital numbers submitted to the regulator.
  • Ensure the quarterly credit risk Pillar 3 reporting process is completed on time and to agreed level of quality.
  • Provide a high standard of independent assurance; this will include reviewing and challenging allocated divisions' Pillar 1 and 3 data, commentary and sign-offs and providing value-added analysis and insight that enable issues to be highlighted in a timely manner for immediate resolution or escalation.
  • To conduct investigations on certain aspects of capital calculation treatment and ensure consistency of treatment across divisions.
  • Provide various credit portfolio analytics in support of regulatory credit RWA and capital decision-making by group and senior executive stakeholders.

This is an initial 6month role with potential to extend there after.
