A high profile UK employer and strong corporate name based in Yorkshire is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for Risk to join their Head Office. This is newly created role that will sit within Group Finance, with reporting line to the Director of Audit, CFO and the Senior Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to introduce, implement and make a difference to the overriding risk culture, something which you will have the remit to develop from scratch. As such your background should demonstrated where you have developed, implemented and introduced a Risk Management framework for a large/blue chip business(es). You will be responsible for developing and implementing a risk framework to provide the tools, methodologies and processes to identify and mitigate the risks effectively. There is also the need to work with management to translate these into a risk matrix and control and challenge the information on an ongoing basis. Reporting to the group director of risk and audit, you will assume responsibility for managing all aspects of risk assessment and risk monitoring undertaken within the function; including all aspects of business unit risk, commercial risk, financial risk, operational risk, process based risk and monitoring in respect of compliance matters. This will involve working closely with senior management to use risk management techniques more effectively and will require highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to produce high quality deliverables. Risk training in a consulting practice or relevant company background is essential, as is a broad understanding of risk across all areas of a business.
