This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Indirect Tax / VAT Manager to be a key Indirect Tax Advisor to the global operations model, providing VAT advice to the UK, Ireland, EU and other territories.

This will involve supporting the UK, Ireland and local operating companies with indirect tax advice; from VAT and customs, to supply chain and other transactions.

You will:

• Support global businesses with VAT, customs and systems consequences of commercial activities.
• Review, and in some cases, prepare and submit the European VAT returns and related documentation
• Proactive VAT working capital management for Europe
• VAT accounting in financial statements and controls oversight

On top of the VAT cash flow management / recovery and preparation / review of returns and balance sheet recs, you will also be instrumental in the Group's global expansion plans by assisting in the indirect tax aspects of acquisitions, disposals, supply chain developments, new products and market entry.

It's assumed that you will be a qualified Chartered Accountant or Chartered Tax Advisor with a track record in advising UK/Ireland, supply chain indirect tax issues and all aspects of compliance management and controls. Any European VAT regime and emerging markets experience would be desirable, as would Customs duty exposure and SAP.
