UK Planning & MI Acccountant

A leading general insurer with ambitious plans for 2012 is seeking a commercially focussed accountant within its Syndicate Planning and Management Information team. Reporting directly into the Head of MI, this role is crucial to the ongoing production of key financial planning and MI outputs for the Syndicate. Given the nature of the position you will liaise with senior level stakeholders within the business, including the UK FD, General Manager and other external parties.

Given the nature of the position it is essential that you have had a plethora of commercial financial reporting exposure within an insurance environment. Ideally you will be a recently qualified accountant (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate a strong track record in a similiar role. A personality that allows you to deal with individuals at all levels, and often be able to explain the value of the numbers to non-numerically minded people, is essential. A strong technical awareness of IFRS and UK GAAP is a pre-requisite to your application.
