Permanent Project Accounting Manager (commercial Housing Association)
We were approached by a client who had a specific need for a Project Accounting Manager to focus on taking the lead on all Development and Regeneration programmes, as well as for Component accounting for all related schemes. Immediately after taking the brief from the client we put together a long list of circa 10 relevant candidates. This was then reduced to a final shortlist of 5 candidates that best suited the role profile, all of who were identified for the final shortlist via close discussions with each candidate on the role and their previous experience. The resulting shortlist was submitted and interviews followed at the end of the week. The following week final interviews had taken place and a Marks Sattin candidate was successfully placed within the post. 3 permanent Financial Analysts (Leading UK Care Charity)
We were invited to tender for the opportunity to recruit to 3 newly qualified Financial Analyst positions within one of the UK's leading charities. Following an initial brief from the client, we produced detailed information on Marks Sattin's approach to recruitment, advertising options and areas in which Marks Sattin could add value through market knowledge and innovative candidate attraction techniques. We then met with the client in person to present our proposal. Marks Sattin was successfully chosen above all other invited parties, and subsequently set about sourcing and short listing candidates. The campaign was completed successfully, with Marks Sattin identifying candidates from both the commercial and charity sector with first class analysis, investment appraisal, management accounting and communication skills. Marks Sattin received excellent feedback from the client, and have subsequently filled other positions with the client.
Assistant Management Accountant (voluntary sector provider of mental health care

Our client required an Assistant Management Accountant with specific financial systems knowledge and a good understanding of all aspects of Management Accounting, to start with immediate effect. Through our extensive network and efficient search exercise we provided the client with four first class candidates. We were able to manage the whole vetting and screening process, and interviews were held on behalf of the client. The successful Assistant Management Accountant appointment was made within 24 hours, and we received excellent feedback from the client.
Finance Officer (International NGO)
Following a restructure, we were assigned the task to recruit a Finance Officer for a prestigious charity. We met with candidates to assess their skills, experience and overall suitability for the role. The successful Finance Officer appointment was made within one week, and a follow-up visit to the client confirmed satisfaction with all aspects of our service and we are subsequently assisting with a permanent assignment also.
Payroll specialist (Leading Charity)
Operating on tight timescales, Marks Sattin was required to recruit a payroll specialist - a crucial role within this small charity. We recommended a solution that encouraged the client to consider candidates with experience from other sector backgrounds, two of which they chose to interview. The successful candidate was appointed with immediate effect, and we received excellent feedback from the client.
Systems Consultant (Environmental Charity)
Following the implementation of IRIS Exchequer, we were approached to source a consultant for a short term assignment who start immediately and could oversee the data migration from SUN accounts and train staff on the new system. CVs were sent within 1 hour and the candidate was offered the position the following day and commenced the contract the within the next 48 hours. The client was so impressed with the candidate he was kept on for an additional 2 weeks to design project accounting reports for budget and stakeholders.
Procurement Consultant (Leading UK Housing Association)
Marks Sattin was approached to recruit a specialist Procurement Consultant to assist this large Housing Association in the implementation of a procurement strategy. The client had already been working with another agency who had been unable to source a suitable candidate. Marks Sattin, after headhunting a number of procurement specialists, subsequently sent three CV’s, all of whom were invited to interview, resulting in the successful candidate being offered, and accepting, the position.
