Financial Accountant

Key areas of responsibility:

  • To provide insight and challenge to existing and future performance of the business.
  • To provide support in financial and management reporting, internal controls, cash management, foreign currency exposure and analysis to the central finance team and wider business.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, yearly budgeting and quarterly forecasting
  • Managing and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends.
  • Review and present current economic and currency news to aid management decision making in foreign currency cover.
  • Calculation and preparation of the company‚Äôs FX forward hedging deals.
  • Management of a Treasury assistant.
  • Monitor internal controls and ensure that appropriate controls are in place.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, resolving audit points in timely manner.
  • Ensure business is compliant with Group and other statutory requirements.


Commercial Accountant

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Finance business partner to the Sales & Marketing teams.
  • Provide support, challenge and financial insight to achieve improved commercial performance through enhanced decision making, and optimal return on investment from trade spend, category marketing spend and new product launches
  • Understand weekly/period results and challenge anomalies to ensure integrity.
  • Provide commentary by customer and by segment to the Board and Senior Management on variances to Budget, Forecast and Prior Year at the end of each period.
  • Participate in Demand Review meetings with the Sales and Planning Teams, understanding and challenging changes in forecast since the previous period.
  • Prepare analysis to support Budget and Forecast submissions to ABF Group head office.
  • Review of Category Marketing spend and challenging return on investment.
  • Business partnering the commercial teams to prepare business cases for new product development and for existing product development.


Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Key areas of responsibility:

  • The core focus of this role is to lead and deliver on the planning, forecasting and budgeting processes, resulting in the development of robust financial plans for a dynamic international business with ambitious growth plans.
  • To define, monitor and report on key KPIs relating to business performance.
  • To manage and coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process, including the consolidation and coordination of submissions.
  • Completion of variance analysis and performance reporting.
  • Evaluating and interpreting discrepancies in plans for the business enabling remedial actions or adjustments to be made.
  • Produces timely and accurate financial and management information.

This position would suit a newly Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA) who is keen to join a global organisation whose brands are household names.
