ACA Portfolio Analyst - Private Equity

This well known US private equity house is looking for a recently qualified accountant, preferably ACA (0-3 years PQE) to join its Portfolio Analyst team.

The role, is ideal for an ACA who is interested in the world of investment management but is looking for something more forward facing than a core finance position.

It is a mix between finance, transaction support and SPV financial control - coordinating the many moving parts that allow a transaction to complete; whether that be liquidity and cash requirements, budgeting and forecasting, liaising with lawyers and asset management teams or improving systems. In terms of reporting and analysis, you'll work alongside the deal, asset management and IR team providing insight on the performance of the portfolio when needed, all in different ways. It's a dynamic and broad role that needs a sharp mind and good communicator; it's a flat structure and so senior management from each division will come directly to this person for queries and requests. Although incredibly commercial, it must be remembered that this is primarily a finance and operations position.

The firm itself is a global leader within its space but with the London office only being 50 strong, it is able to operate like a boutique with a lot of fire power. They have a dynamic and entrepreneurial approach to work and place a huge emphasis on culture - they only employ good, nice people - no egos allowed.

The ideal candidate will have prior fund management experience, either from practice or from industry. There is also a preference for an ACA, although all accounting qualifications will be considered. Ideal level of experience is between 0 and 3 years post qualified.

In terms of remuneration they are open and will always offer an increase on a candidates base salary as well as provide a very industry competitive discretionary bonus.
