Marks Sattin have partnered with a financial services business based in Reading who are looking at expanding there accounts team. This role would suit someone who has a transactional finance experience looking to take the next step in their career.

Purpose

To assist the finance team with accounts production, purchase ledger and income/ bank reconciliation

Key responsibilities

  • Month End
    • Purchase Ledger
    • Expense Processing
    • Reconcile bank accounts
    • Assist in other month end procedures
  • Banking - transfer of information from bank statement to cash flow and Sage and keep both updated and reconciled
  • Cash flow -summarise weekly reports for management and comment on higher value outflows
  • Purchase Ledger - assist with purchase ledger in Sage; including coding of invoices, obtaining appropriate internal authorisation and reviewing the aged creditors listing to maintain credit terms.
  • Reconcile key supplier statements to Sage balances monthly
  • Assist with the continued development of finance processes and policies

Experience & Core skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • IO experience is desirable
  • Sage experience is desirable
  • Demonstrable experience working within a finance department
  • An instinctive problem solver who is able to use their initiative
  • Positive, enthusiastic and team orientated outlook
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Highly motivated to learn and develop
  • Good communicator, both written and verbally
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload
