A leading consultancy firm are looking for a qualified accountant to join them to as they are looking to grow their hedge accounting and derivatives valuation team. This is a great opportunity to join a market leader and move into a role in which you are using your accounting knowledge to provide advice and add value.

They are looking for a technically strong accountant who is motivated to work in a client facing environment and work with high level stakeholders to ensure that the key deliverables are met. As a business they have a clear internal progression path and pride themselves on the professional development support they offer their employees.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Preparing financial models and provide analysis
  • Assist with the valuation of client debt and derivative portfolios as well as providing hedge accounting support.
  • Maintaining client relationships and acting as main point of contact for quires related to the above.
  • Preparing and presenting pitches to win new business

The successful candidate will be:

  • Qualified ACA or equivalent
  • Strong modelling skills
  • Strong technical understanding of FRS102 and IFRS accounting standards (particularly IFRS 7 & 9 and equivalent IAS standards).
  • Understanding of corporate treasury and treasury products is a benefit
