Applications Support Developer - Milton Keynes

A global business services company is looking to hire a Software / Applications Support Developer to be based in its Milton Keynes offices.

This is essentially an Applications Development role and the main remit will be to create bespoke applications using .NET, although there will also be a requirement to support the various in-house applications during peak times.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a number of cutting edge technologies across a range of web based applications. Working in a small team you will be supporting a number of concurrent in-flight projects and interacting with a diverse set of contacts ranging from product managers to production support staff.

Responsibilities

You will be managing and supporting web based applications developed in .NET and housed on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will be working with MS SQL, Windows server, Powershell, ASP.Net MVC, Azure Storage (Blob, Tables and Queues), Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Batch, Azure Web Roles, Worker Roles, code deployments, code upgrades as well as documentation.

Skills Required

• Experience with ASP.Net, C#, WCF, XML, AJAX, SQL Server 2008+, SSIS, SSRS MVC, Entity Framework, Unit Testing Frameworks, Dependency Injection, Javascript, JQuery, IIS, TDD, Source Control.
• Strong technical skills gained whilst working within a software development environment.
• Understanding of the processes and procedures needed to support the full software development life cycle.
• Experience in delivering solutions built on at least some of the following Azure components and services: Azure Storage (Blob, Tables and Queues), Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Batch, Azure Web Roles, Worker Roles
