A rare opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a high-end firm in the Woking area, the company are multi-award winning and are a well respected firm within their industry.

The opportunity has arisen due to a recent promotion, the company offer a comprehensive study support scheme towards any Accounting Qualification and offer a full-time position.

The role will be most suited to a candidate who is a recent graduate, and an individual who ideally has 1-2 years experience within a Junior Accounting role.

• Must ensure that all bank accounts remain in credit. All online bank accounts to be checked and cashflow forecasts to be updated on a weekly basis, or more frequently if required. Accurate forecasting of cash movements and arranging fund transfers and payments where and when necessary. Weekly preparation of cashflow summary notes for the FC to see where payment authorisation/money movements required.
• Scan, input and match invoices and payments in SAGE (GBP & EUR).
• Ensure quarterly SPV accounts are prepared with sufficient time left for the FC to perform final review processes before the investor accounts distribution deadline.
• Preparation and calculation of SPV quarterly, or monthly, VAT Returns. Responsible for ensuring the returns are accurate and making manual adjustments where necessary. Must ensure the returns are lodged and payments received by HMRC before the deadline.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in an accounting position necessary, should be actively studying towards an accounting qualification with determination to progress higher. Competent with debits and credits.
• Must be adaptable to changing priorities whilst working to and maintaining deadlines.
