Marks Sattin are working alongside A Global Law firm, based in Leeds City Centre. This progressive business has a newly created vacancy, for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to work alongside and report directly in to the Group Finance Manager.

This role would be ideal for a Part-Qualified Accountant who is looking to progress within a business and expand their skill-set and experience whilst studying. Duties will include:

• Ensuring delivery of month end results and provide analysis and raise any issues where appropriate
• Full integrity of Balance Sheet, ensuring all balances are validated
• Focus on Fixed Assets and valuations
• Assisting with month end close
• Liaise with all areas of finance as appropriate
• Interaction with the financial auditors during Year End
• Statutory Accounts preparation
• Supporting year end close
• Preparation of monthly results, quarterly Financial Management Accounts, balance sheet summary
• Balance Sheet reporting, reconciliations and controls focusing on WIP, debt, provisions
• Ensure all monthly journals posted and authorised correctly
• Ensure all P&L and Balance Sheet accounts fully reconciled appropriately
• Reconcile and maintain key balance accounts, including Fixed Assets, debtors, WIP, accruals, prepayments, provisions etc
