Start your job searchMy client, a specialist private equity investor, is recruiting for a split 70/30 finance/office assistant position to assist the financial accountant with the day-today bookkeeping and management of the office. This organisation is entering into an exciting growth phase, moving into new a office in central London. They currently have investments all over the world including UK, Europe, Australia and North America giving the successful candidate fantastic exposure to more senior staff members.
The role will include:
- Day to day bookkeeping and posting of all nominal ledger transactions onto Sage
- Monthly sales invoices and update of sales ledger and sales invoice spreadsheet
- Bank reconciliations (Company, MCT and BME)
- Accounts payable/receivable queries
- MCT bookkeeping
- BME bookkeeping
- Answering the door and making drinks for guests
- Picking up the office phone
- Management of office contracts (e.g. mobile phones, cleaning, IT equipment)
- Liaise with external IT support if any staff members report IT issues
- Stationery orders (including business cards and letterheads), monitoring of stationery levels and maintaining stationery cupboard
- Management of office issues (inc. arranging annual fire and electrical checks and management of recycling, photocopier and cleaning contractors etc.)
About you:
- Fresh graduate, Studying for your AAT or be a school leaver
- Excellent Academics
- Willingness to get stuck in and help out as required
- Actively seeking a career in Accountancy
