Marks Sattin are exclusively working with a FMCG brand based in Richmond, Surrey in the search for a new Assistant Accountant for their growing finance function. With huge growth plans in place, this is an exciting time to join the business.

Reporting into the Finance Director you will be responsible for the full transactional accounting services for the brand, support the Finance Director in the month-end processes, participate in month-end close and support the operations team in the supply chain process.

Duties include:

• Run the Purchase Ledger including postings, controls, proposed payments and management reports, including reconciling supplier statements, and dealing with supplier queries
• Bank reconciliations and postings to Sage 50, and bank account administration
• Weekly cashflow reporting for two trading units
• Sales Ledger management including postings, controls, chasing payments and management reports, including issuing customer statements, and dealing with customer queries
• Issuing credit notes to customers as required
• Credit control of key accounts
• Prepare and maintain specific accruals including Rebates, Donations and others as agreed from time to time
• Prepare weekly sales reporting, as well as input to forecasting system
• Assist in month-end reporting process, through closure of the various ledgers, various reports and controls
• Support one charity in its cashflow monitoring, and monitoring budget versus actuals and other management information
• Assist in preparation of Management KPI reporting
• Prepare the stock reconciliation for reporting, and assist the Operations team in order processing and purchasing as required from time to time
• Run the CAPEX procedure including Fixed Asset Ledger
• Participate in specific finance projects that arise from time to time
• Maintain and monitor the monthly finance timetable

The successful candidate MUST have experience on Sage Line 50 and can perform V-lookups and Pivot tables.
