ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

AMBITIOUS PART QUALIFIED/ACTIVE STUDIER

The Client

My client are a leading provider of business services across a range of industry sectors, including several large PLC's. Since the companies inception in 2007 they have achieved accelerated growth, won multiple awards and a recent highlight has been their listing on the London Stock Exchange. They continue to exceed Sales, Profit and Share Growth expectations and are making huge waves in their respective markets.

The Group experienced revenue growth of 43% in the last financial year through both selective acquisition and new business wins with key clients across the UK.

Headquartered in West Yorkshire, the Group employs more than 350 people across 14 UK sites, who service more than 100,000 buildings across the whole of the UK for over 10,000 customers in a wide range of industries.

The Opportunity

In this role, your main purpose will be to support the Finance team with a range of activities that ultimately improves business performance and profitability. The role will involve both responsibilities for regular transactional activities in the business financial cycle together with ad-hoc work or projects for the Finance Management team.

The Candidate

This is a critical support role for a very busy centralised Finance team which is supporting a geographically dispersed complex business, expanding at an exceptional level through both acquisition and organic growth. For the right person this will be an exciting opportunity, being part of both that growth and business improvement (through better processes and systems). The expectation is high and my client need people prepared to collaborate to get the job done whilst at the same time looking at ways to improve and excel.

You will be a graduate calibre (someone gone down the AAT route would be considered), Part Qualified (ACCA or CIMA) and actively studying with likely 1-2 years remaining of your studies. You will also be a confident user of MS Excel and have a proactive hands-on approach with strong results orientation, capable of focusing on both immediate needs and longer term system reporting improvements.
