An asset manager based in the city is looking for an assistant accountant to join initially on a 12 month contract. This is due to some restructuring within the finance department.

The assistant accountant will be reporting into the finance director working within a small team assisting with the preparation of annual statutory accounts, budgeting and forecasting.

Main responsibilities will include

• Monthly accounting and bookkeeping
• Fixed asset register
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in preparing financial statements
• Prepayments and accruals

Requirements:

• You will be part qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent or finalist
• Experience using SAP
• Working in professional services is preferable

This role is ideal for an assistant accountant who wants to develop there professional qualifications and ideally you must have worked within the financial services.
