Balance Sheet Accountant | Hybrid | 9 month FTC | Up to £250pd | Manchester

Marks Sattin are delighted to be recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented Balance Sheet Accountant on a temporary contract. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely management accounting and reporting services. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the financial health and performance of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account analysis.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Analyse and explain variances between actual results and budget/forecast.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations of balance sheet accounts.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and classification of transactions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in balance sheet management.

About you:

• ACA/ACCA/ACMA Qualified Accountant.
• Experience in a similar role with a focus on balance sheet management
• Strong technical skills with a high level of numeracy
• Adaptable to change and open to new ideas and processes
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workload to meet deadlines
• Positive mindset with a can-do attitude and a drive for delivering exceptional service

PAYE - Up to £195 per day
UMBRELLA - Up to £250 per day
