BI / Business Intelligence Manager - Luton

A pan-UK organisation is currently seeking to hire a Business Intelligence Manager to be based out of its prestigious office in Luton.

The main remit of the role will be to assist in creating and enabling a data driven culture within the organisation by building the capability within the data team through up-skilling team members and improving their technical capability.

This role is also key for ensuring potential business improvements/risks are highlighted by using the company's data to its advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, maintaining and enhancing the organisation's data platform
  • Drive the insight driven organisation strategy throughout the business
  • Work with the business to help understand risk and opportunities through data ulitisation
  • Ensure high availability of data throughout the business at all levels
  • Be a data champion in the business
  • Manage a team of analysts creating insight for the business
  • Remove unnecessary reporting and manual process within the business by mobilising the company's BI platform
  • Enhance current capabilities within the data insight team
  • Build and improve predictive models
  • Improve the quality and reliability of the company's data assets

Skills Required

  • Degree level / equivalent experience
  • Experience gained in an operationally oriented business with responsibility for analysing and presenting data.
  • Experience of leading a small highly focused team in a demanding environment
  • Practical knowledge of developing reporting and data structures and systems
  • A wider knowledge of what it takes to be an insight driven organisation
  • Ability to analyse data/trends and accurately report information is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Experience in SQL, R, Python would be desirable but not essential as would advanced Excel skills preferably with VBA
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programmes and CRM database applications.
