Business Systems Manager - Luton

A pan-UK organisation is currently seeking to hire a strategic Business Systems Manager to be based out of its main back-office hub in Luton.

The Business Systems Manager will be have ultimate responsibility for systems across all functions and the main remit of the role will be to build on the systems currently in place and make the user experience as optimal as possible.

The ultimate goal for this individual is to ensure that processes within the systems are as smooth and easy to use as possible while retaining control and governance. The role relies on having great market knowledge and finding the best solutions for business problems and creating great working relationships with vendors to deliver the best value options.

Responsibilities

• Owning relationships of systems vendors
• Regularly assessing best practice and reviewing process
• Driving optimum end user experience
• Managing release and upgrade processes
• Liaising with key members of the business on usage and best practice
• Dealing with escalated issues and resolving in a timely fashion
• Ensuring documentation is kept up to date and relevant
• Managing a team of administrators/analysts and driving leading solutions

Skills Required

• Strategic approach
• In depth knowledge of system governance and control
• At least 5 years' experience of working with a variety of systems
• Proven background of implementing and managing change and transformation within an organisation
• Previous experience of creating and implementing a Digital strategy
• Previous experience of managing a geographically spread team
• Previous ownership of supplier relationships
• Understanding what it means to deliver first class user experience
• Experience of BI tools
• System design and implementation would be desirable but not essential as would be knowledge of Qube
