Job Introduction
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to join the Capital and Regulatory Reporting team. This is an area that is continually evolving providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop a broad range of knowledge and experience in financial risk focusing on capital risk assessment, capital planning and reporting.
This role will work closely with the Senior Capital Reporting Manager and the Head of Capital and Regulatory Reporting to develop management information to identify drivers of Propensity to Default/ Loss Given Default/ Exposure at Default and the sensitivities for capital consumption under base and stress scenarios.

Main Responsibilities
Understanding, reviewing and reporting on new and existing regulations is essential for this role. Using this information you will develop standard and adhoc reporting and analysis focusing on capital risk assessment.
This role will work closely with other key stakeholders from across Finance, Financial Risk and Products to assess and report on the impact of current and future lending decisions on leverage and capital utilisation under a variety of scenarios to help inform key decision making.
As the Capital Risk Assessment Specialist, you will also manage the preparation of the recovery plan and resolution reporting requirements ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an area of evolving regulation which also informs strategy, making this an interesting and challenging role.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who can build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels to join the team. A motivated and driven approach would be advantageous to succeed in the role as you will be continually seeking to improve ways of working and be willing to challenge and question the 'norm'.
Enjoying keeping up to speed with regulations is a must in this role, as it is crucial to the reporting within this role.
Attention to detail is essential as you will have to make sure all your work is accurate. A background in finance and / or risk and audit will benefit you in this role. You will be a qualified accountant with ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
