Marks Sattin Executive Search is currently working with a successful PE Backed Engineering business in the South East England and they are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Managing Director to drive further growth through financial backing of a very supportive Private Equity firm.

At this exciting phase in its development, the Managing Director is required who will deliver growth by driving the sales and operational performance of the business. This is a rare opportunity to join a business with a unique position and successfully delivering the strategic plan and play a significant role in creating the value in the business.

The Managing Director will deliver the business plan and achieve profitable growth, including managing the day-to-day business activities, ensuring they run smoothly and that consistently high standards are delivered to customers, generating strategies to increase sales revenues with new and existing customers and representing the business to build its presence in the marketplace.

The ideal candidate:

• A background in engineering/construction/real estate/equipment/manufacturing within a PE Backed Business, and experience in rental assets.
• Supported the Private Equity firms and their investments and experience of scaling up a company would be very useful.
• High energy, drive and stamina, sense of urgency, results orientation and ability to articulate ideas and concepts are important for this role.
• Communicate effectively and inspire others in a fast-paced environment.

This role will involve driving the business as a leader, providing strategic direction and ensuring the business remains focused on achieving its objectives.
