A market leading SaaS IT business that is rapidly growing within their sector is seeking a prominent Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer with a broad scope of responsibilities. They are seeking someone who is dynamic and commercially-minded to further drive growth organically and through acquisitions in order to propel this business to the next level. This individual will be working with the senior executive team and will report directly to the CEO.

This business has a significant focus on profitability and value creation via recurring revenues, requiring you to build and improve processes, procedures, and controls to support strategic decisions that will position the business for a successful exit. A proactive hands on approach, coupled with your excellent communication and leadership skills will ideally allow you to make a positive effect on the business. The role requires a strong commercial outlook and a focus on the quality of products, management and services. Therefore, anyone considering the role must share the same values. As a leader of the business, you will be required to lead by example, be a role model, and have a specific focus on developing and retaining the best people.

The successful candidate will also need a proven track record of pioneering financial system upgrades, robust modelling for board presentations and an deep, underlying understanding of setting and hitting KPI's. The ideal COO/CFO will have experience working in a founder led business with a proven background in growing a business domestically and internationally as well as going through a successful exit. The ability to make justifiable data-driven decisions to improve company and employee performance is an integral skill that the successful candidate will need to have.

Ideally, candidates will have proven experience in a COO or CFO role in the past and would preferably be qualified accountants. Some other key skills are strategic planning, operational management, sound decision-making ability under pressure, and an autonomous working style. Technically, an understanding of data analysis and operational/performance metrics, preferably within the technology industry is a must.
