Global engineering business in Nottinghamshire are looking to recruit a qualified Finance Business Partner.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Commercial Accountant will be a key member of the finance team. You will develop close working relationships with the Senior Management team supporting strategic decision making by providing meaningful and insightful analysis based on accurate and timely data. The role involves constantly challenging financial performance in conjunction with the business unit operational team with the objective of stimulating and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

• Provision of timely and accurate financial information and metrics
• Financial support to Management
• Management of monthly business area finance review
• Conduct of periodic finance reviews with department managers
• Main contract for new contract bids/tenders
• Continuous improvement

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/CA)
• Excellent Communicator with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels across the business
• Attention to detail and have a 'right first time' attitude
• Ability to produce and present business cases/reports
• Self-motivated and flexible individual who is a strong team player
• Proactive approach to identification and resolution of improvement opportunities
• Ability to adapt to change quickly and prioritise multiple demands
• Ability to understand the business strategy and make decisions within the context of the bigger picture
• Up to date working knowledge and experience of current Accounting Regulations
• Experience of ERP systems, Microsoft Office packages, particularly excel
