Key Purpose: (What we do)

  • Contract performance and compliance reporting
  • Ensure the operational leaders understand the key commercial and operational terms of the client contracts
  • Support the operational leaders to provide accurate and compliant use of the systems and off systems tools in line with our contractual buying processes and savings objectives
  • Support the operational leaders to deliver to at least the contractual minimum performance
  • Lead the preparation and implementation of new contracts, renewals and in-contract revisions in regards of these Key Purposes
  • Develop and maintain savings baselines and savings calculation methodologies in line with the client contracts and our commercial needs
  • Along with colleagues in the procurement and operational teams support the local leadership to maintain high ethical standards and avoid moral hazard

Principal Accountabilities: (how we achieve the purposes)

  • Provide operational and commercial exception reports to focus on areas of required performance improvement and system usage
  • Lead on the client historical data collation and preparation and the derived pricing models
  • Create and maintain commercial guides and quick reference guides.
  • Maintain an in-month review of quotation accuracy for those contracts where we are committing to the saving at the point of quote
  • Review commercial and savings performance with the operational leaders to ensure we know how to deliver to the savings, processes and other targets within the contracts.
  • Provide a particular reporting and action focus on the causes of lost margin and the non-taking of reasonable gain share opportunities.
  • Ensure the savings and gain share calculations are accurate and compliant to the client contracts
  • Set up Ichor to reflect the contractual requirements and savings reporting - including savings targets, base lining, savings methodologies and client hierarchies.
  • Develop and maintain the off-system and on-system tools required to provide matching to previous purchases, derived pricing solutions and fee inclusive quoting tools
  • Proactively work with and coach local leaders to ensure accurate and comprehensive use of systems including off system tools such as quoting and savings methodology selection.
  • ¼ Support the local teams to meet their Savings Targets and Guaranteed Pricing Targets including maximising additional margin including gain share.
  • Develop and maintain through the contract the different savings baselines and solutions so that we can continue to meet the savings targets and provide the savings reports
  • Support and challenge the teams and monitor their performance so that we are delivering to the key terms of the contract - including SLAs, savings targets, margin allowed, the buying processes or data quality.
  • Understand the terms of the contract so we can look for instances where we may not be compliant to the contract or not be able to demonstrate we have been compliant
  • Identify potential situations of moral hazard
  • Identify solutions to the root causes of non-compliance or poor performance and work with senior leadership to resolve
