In this role you will provide best in class management information and reporting across all areas of the business, continually drive finance insight and understanding of business performance.
Key duties as Commercial Finance Analyst include:
- Produce and keep up to date the weekly directors' performance pack
- Ensure KPIs are developed, understood and are effectively tracked and trends are understood and acted upon
- Responsible for producing high quality reporting
- To track current performance and drive improved future performance against internal measures and against competitors
- Produce analysis and insight into store profitability
- Produce analysis and insight into margin and profitability
- Continue to develop and maintain promotional analysis
- Support the capital appraisal process ensuring high quality financials ahead of capital or opex spend being signed off
- Ad hoc analysis as and when new business initiatives or issues arise
- To evaluate the profitability and performance against plan of new business initiatives and to ensure that the financial controls around those are strong
To be considered for the position of Commercial Finance Analyst, you must be/have:
- Newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA/ICAS)
- Commercially astute first-time movers from Big 4/Top 10 practice will most definitely be considered
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment and used to working under pressure
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written. The ability to present complex issues in a simple way
- Proven business partnering skills
- Operate a 'can do'/'we will' attitude, thinking outside the box whenever required
- Experience in retail or FMCG is preferable
A highly competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000 is on offer along with staff discount, bonus, pension and private medical care.
