A leading Manufacturing business based near near Cambrigeshire who have seen staggering growth both organically and by way of acquisition are now seeking to appoint a Commercial Finance Analyst. Working hand in hand with operations and sales, the Commercial Finance Analyst will be responsible for analysing data, gathering commercial information and providing commercial solutions. It is expected to convert usable data so that the board can use this to make faster and more effective commercial decision making. This commercial data and high level analysis can also be used to promote a 'change hungry' environment and have a positive impact on the way the business currently do things. Whilst the role will have a numerical impact it is likely that the role will play out a 60/40 split in commercial analytical analysis verses accounting impact. You will get some exposure to major projects and act as a business partner to the business.

  • Financial analysis and modelling
  • Business partnering with operations and internal stakeholders
  • Building of models and dash boards
  • High level data analysis
  • Producing high level reports which targets operational and not necessarily financial end users

The Commercial Finance Analyst role is targeting potentially a qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant, someone part way through their accounting studies or someone qualified by experience. Essential to this role is someone with strong analytical skills and advanced excel capable of producing detailed reports that can be easily understood and used as a performance tool for operational and sales stakeholders. Someone with a retail or FMCG background would carry a distinct advantage. As Commercial Finance Analyst this role and person must be able to converse and challenge ideas without dampening enthusiasm - a tough skill to challenge yet motivate!
