Start your job searchThis is an exciting opportunity for a commercial finance analyst to join its growing finance team in a SME based in Birmingham. Working closely with the business across technology, marketing and commercial stakeholders you will be a part of a group effectively business partnering to ensure current performance and forecast future performance. There are a wide range of stakeholders interested in information the team provide from internal channel head to C-suite executives. A commercial finance analyst is needed to help broaden the breadth and depth of our understanding.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting budgeting and forecasting of KPI`s and financial performance. Taking stakeholder input through to board presentations.
Understanding current performance and the underlying business drivers trough regular reporting
Provide robust accurate reporting of business information to the business within agreed timescales.
Provide an independent view on the effectiveness of all business initiatives and make recommendations for considerations.
Challenge where appropriate to ensure the business is maximising best value from any investments that we make.
Use all available data to make conclusions on business performance that will help influence decisions on how we improve our trading proposition.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
Work closely with other members of the team to share best practice.
Provide ad hoc commercial support to the wider business.
Suitable candidates will be:
Newly qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA) up to 1 year PQE coming from practice
To be educated to a degree level (or equivalent)
Able to explain financial analysis to non-financial colleagues
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong business partnering skills and ability to build relationships across functionalities
Strong communication, IT skills and presentation skills.
Experience/ knowledge of SME clients in practice
