Start your job searchMy client a Hull based FMCG giant are looking to recruit a commercially focused Finance Controller for there operation in Hull and London.
Please note the role will involve working in London three days a week however you will recieve fully expensed accomodation and travel costs.
The Commercial Financial Controller will be responsible for providing support and advice on strategic and operational decision making in order to improve business performance, whilst maintaining overall responsibility for the management accounts and reporting of management information.
The role will report into the Marketing Director, with a dotted line into the CFO, and will work alongside other business areas including Operations, Sales and Marketing, providing robust management information to evaluate new ideas, articulate different options and influence decisions. The candidate will have the ability to listen, interpret, negotiate and challenge. The role is ideally suited to a high achieving and aspirational individual.
- The successful candidate will be forward looking with the ability to examine operational performance from different angles in order to bring new perspectives and ideas
- Naturally inquisitive with a desire to understand a broad range of commercial issues, ability to evaluate how current operational and commercial choices may affect future performance and challenge management thinking to drive better decision making
- Excellent communication skills which can be used to promote the commercial value of the Finance team
- Rigorous approach, broad repertoire and strong technical skills with an exceptional analytical ability
- Ability to build trust and confidence with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels within the business
To be considered:
- Qualified ACA, CIMA with some years post qualified experience
- Ability to analyse financial data and draw sound conclusions and proposals
- Ability to present information in an appropriate manner to a variety of stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills
