The Interim Commercial Financial Controller will report directly to the Finance Director, lead the commercial finance function and act as a senior business partner to the commercial teams.

My client is a large FMCG business and to be considered for the position of Interim Commercial Financial Controller, candidates must have a strong FMCG background within large businesses.

Key duties as Interim Commercial Financial Controller include:

• Lead a team of 6 staff (FM through to Analyst level) providing business partnering to the commercial team
• Act as the finance lead for the commercial finance team
• Ensuring robust budgeting, forecasting, reporting, strong internal controls and driving performance in profit and working capital
• Shape and deliver strategy and support the Finance Director in defining and delivering the Commercial strategies for the business
• Lead the commercial forecasting and budgeting processes, providing insight & challenge and ensuring a clear understanding of performance drivers, risks & opportunities
• Pre and post-evaluation of promotional investment
• Support Innovation team with scenarios, decision support and tracking including post-evaluation
• Drive decision support to the commercial team and supporting marketing in commercial justifications.
• Evaluating and modelling pricing and marketing strategies alongside range reviews
• Providing support and understanding of the financials of the sector and challenge performance and strategy
• Manage the commercial accounting team providing development opportunities alongside delivering to KPI's
• Ensure financial controls are sustained across functions and Management Information is provided to the business
• Ensure robust control process on all customer investment transactions with appropriate reporting

To be considered for the position of Interim Commercial Financial Controller role, candidates must be/have:

• Fully Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE
• Strong experience within a large FMCG business
• Personable and able to act as a senior business partner to drive key relationships

Day rate on of offer c£400 to £500 per day dependent on experience.
