Expertise & Responsibilities

-) As Desktop & Infrastructure Engineer you are responsible for supporting all aspects of infrastructure & software of desktops, servers & network components, ideally within a financial or investment services environment

-) You will oversee desktop environment & standard applications to ensure that end-users & business units are receiving appropriate assistance.

-) Excellent technical knowledge of network & operating systems including VMware, Windows Server 2008 R2-2016, Windows 7-10, Exchange Server 2010-2016 & Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco routers & switches.

-) Certifications in Windows Server, Exchange & Cisco routing protocols & firewalls preferred

-) Excellent technical knowledge & application support experience with Server/Network monitoring systems (Solarwinds)

-) This includes responsibility of managing helpdesk system, creating & managing all procedures & documentation related to desktops & desktop applications

-) Developing long-term strategies & capacity planning for meeting future technology needs

-) Conduct research on products in support of infrastructure procurement & development efforts. Evaluate & recommend products for purchase

-) Perform analysis, diagnosis & resolution of problems for end users, recommend & implement corrective solutions, including support

-) Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, & troubleshoot network, server, end-user workstations, telephony & related hardware & software in order to deliver required desktop service levels

-) Solid experience as Desktop Analyst, Desktop Engineer, Desktop Support Analyst, Desktop Support Engineer, Infrastructure Analyst, Infrastructure Engineer, Infrastructure Support Analyst, Infrastructure Support Engineer (or similar)
