Seeking a Finance Analyst for a 9 month contract based in Edinburgh for a retail company ideally they are seeking a local candidate but could be open to profiles on a remote basis dependent on the level of experience.
In this role you will be in involved in Financial Planning and Reporting, Consolidation of EU CS Financial data to various EU and world-wide stakeholders. Along with Collecting, analysing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reduction. Finance Business Partner to the Senior Management Team across Europe on Return on Investment Analysis and Project report outs & work closely with the CS operations teams to ensure financial viability of Projects and Programs is guaranteed
Background required:
- Bachelor in a Business/Finance/Engineering or similar analytical discipline
- Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and/or data interpretation and analysis
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results
- Result-oriented, dynamic individual with hands-on
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (macros, pivots, lookups)
Desirable skills:
- Measured experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense
- Experience providing recommendations based on results of ad-hoc analyses to management for strategic decision-making
- Knowledge of large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, Python, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
