Delighted to be working in partnership with one of the largest retail businesses in West Yorkshire on a three month FTC need in their commercial finance team. This has arisen due to various internal movement and secondments with a need for a strong finance professional who would also consider a permanent opportunity in the long run.

Your role would be to work with the Commercial Finance Managers and Business Partner, supporting and challenging the business through the creation of value adding insight and analysis.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, this is a great opportunity for you to gain much sought after commercial experience, influencing decision making, cross functional working and exposure to working with senior management. You should be very comfortable with analysis or modelling.

The role suits a commercially-minded Finance Analyst or Analyst professional form outside of the financial sector, who is excited by the opportunity of joining a successful business at a pivotal time in its growth. For a dynamic and self-motivated individual, this role offers exceptional opportunities to develop stakeholder management and commercial finance experience in industry.

Examples of the responsibilities for the role:

  • Preparation of Management Information; produce accurate and insightful reporting packs, ad-hoc analysis and scenario modelling to analyse sales performance, margins
  • Ongoing development of MI and analysis; Assist in the development of the new reporting suites, building Excel models, KPI packs, using a variety of data sources including data warehouses, financial ledgers and planning systems
  • Support the production of quarterly forecasts; Contribute to elements of both Trading and Retail forecasts, challenging teams where necessary to derive a robust forecast
  • Develop processes; Document current processes and identify how these can be adapted to be more efficient and robust, exploiting system developments.
